Adam T. Funk graduated from the University of Texas in Austin in 2004 with a degree in Business Administration. After graduating college in only three years with honors, Mr. Funk worked for an Austin law firm specializing in personal injury and product liability. The work experience in Austin helped Mr. Funk understand his true calling in life – helping those in need through this nation’s great civil justice system. Soon thereafter, Mr. Funk enrolled at the University of Houston Law Center. While in law school, Mr. Funk was a member of the Mock Trial Team and the Moot Court Team and competed in numerous tournaments across the nation. On several occasions, Mr. Funk was awarded Best Speaker in the tournament. In addition, Adam was also awarded the Order of the Barristers by the Law School – a rarely-given honor bestowed upon students who have excelled in trial advocacy.
During law school, Mr. Funk clerked for a Houston personal injury and product liability law firm where he helped prepare a name-partner for trial in the first Vioxx® trial in Texas. After law school, Mr. Funk joined the name-partner in his new Houston law firm where Mr. Funk represented many clients injured by defective pharmaceutical drugs, car accidents, faulty products, and dangerous properties. Mr. Funk was responsible for eight pharmaceutical dockets, including, but not limited to, Reglan/Metoclopramide, Yaz/Yasmin, Raptiva, Hormone Replacement Therapy drugs, and NuvaRing. In the short span of four years, Mr. Funk was able to secure over $2.24 Million in settlements and verdicts in his cases.
Mr. Funk joined the Branch Law Firm in its downtown Houston office in 2011. Mr. Funk looks forward to continuing to fight zealously for his clients and obtaining the compensation they deserve. Mr. Funk practices in the fields of pharmaceutical litigation, personal injury, premises liability, and medical malpractice.
In his spare time, Adam enjoys spending time on his family ranch, cooking with his wife Caroline, reading, and running.
